Hi, my name is Kristin Foose. I am a 28 year old workaholic living in Northern Virginia, sound familiar? I thought so. I recently went on a mission trip to Guatemala and realized there is so much more to life than work, going out, and shopping. One thing I learned in Guatemala was how to truely serve by having an open mind and loving heart. It was one of the most rewarding experiences to put others (not shoes) before myself and want to share that joy with people I love. One trend I have noticed through my network of friends is they are so busy they don't have time to look for volunteer opportunities, that's where I want to come in. I want to be the one stop shop where they can come and not only find out, but choose which volunteer opportunities they want to pursue. My goal is to start a chain reaction amongst them, and eventually help reach a larger community of those to serve....Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Matthew 28:18-20
